Design led by a practiced eye

Our approach is a guided process. It's rooted in the individuality of the client but led by a practiced eye. Clients come to us not just for taste, but for direction. You may know what you like, or what you don't, and need help transforming those instincts into a cohesive, expressive home.

We listen closely, observe patterns, and ask better questions. Then we take the lead, translating your needs, quirks, and aspirations into something deeply personal and distinctly beautiful. The result is a space that feels like you, even if you couldn't have imagined it on your own.

Interior design
for the way people live
in Teton County

With more than a decade designing primary and secondary homes across the greater Teton valley, we understand that a home here answers to two clients: the people who live in it and the landscape it sits in. That balance shapes every decision. High-altitude sunlight is unforgiving, so fabric and finish performance isn't an afterthought, it's part of the concept from the first mood board. The realities of the region shape the work too. Receiving and installing large orders through a Teton winter takes a trusted team on the ground throughout the valley, and after ten years we have one.

A second home carries its own logic. It has to perform when you're away and welcome you the moment you return, ready for a season of guests or a quiet stretch alone. We design for how you actually use it, not how a primary residence three states away is used. And we start from what you already love. Your existing collections, the pieces with history, the things you're not willing to part with become the anchor, not the obstacle. We build around them, guiding you through a process that results in a home that feels layered, personal, and unmistakably yours.

  • Every project moves through a guided process built around how you actually want to live.

Discovery. Every project begins with a conversation, an opportunity to understand your life, your needs, and the story you want your home to tell. We explore the scope, new build or remodel, what's staying and what's changing, and the style cues that drew you to Esme. We talk about how you live, how you entertain, what your family needs now and what the future might bring. From architectural preferences to personal rituals, we want to understand what makes your home yours.

Concept development. From those conversations, we build three distinct mood boards that reflect different interpretations of your style. These aren't cookie-cutter trends. They're nuanced palettes of texture, color, and form that help us hone the direction, then translate it into materials, tones, and details.

Design presentation. We develop a full round-one design presentation, typically including floor plans and furniture layouts, furniture and lighting selections, materials and finishes, and fabric and color schemes.

Sourcing and custom furniture. Furniture, lighting, textiles, art, and antiques drawn from trade relationships and galleries most homeowners can't access directly, including pieces from Galerie Esme. When the right piece doesn't exist, we design and commission it.

Project management and installation. We coordinate with your architect, builder, and trades so the interior is resolved alongside construction, then deliver the home complete, down to the final layer.

  • Much of our work in Teton County happens on new construction and major renovations. Some of our strongest work comes from close, long-standing collaboration with architects and building companies.

We have deep respect for the experience each team brings to the table, and we design better because of it. When we're part of the conversation early, decisions about architecture and interior are made together rather than in sequence, and the finished home is more resolved for it. We welcome new teams just as readily. A first project together is the start of the kind of relationship we're proud to have built again and again.

  • Studio Esme works throughout greater Teton County, including Jackson, Wilson, Teton Village, Moose, Kelly, and the surrounding valley. Including Hoback, Big Sky, and Victor.
